Our New RWM
At the annual ceremony of installation held on Wednesday 25th November 2009, Bro. Allan Taylor was installed as Right Worshipful Master by his installing masters Bro. Robert M.F. Mackay P.M. And Bro. John Prentice P.M.
Attending the installation were a total of 109 brethren from 24 different lodges from both within and outwith the province of Lanarkshire.
On attaining the chair the new Right Worshipful Master Bro. Allan commented 'It is such an honour to be asked to take the chair of this lodge by my fellow brethren and one that I do not take lightly. As the lodges existence currently spans over
five centuries and has had so many masters of great distinction you cannot fail to fully appreciate how important this lodge is. I look forward to the challenges ahead
and will do everything I can in order to strengthen and preserve the good name of this ancient lodge.'

On taking the post of Immediate Past Master Bro. James responded 'I am grateful to the Brethren of No.7 for allowing me the privilege of being a small part of the lodge's three centuries of history. It is a pleasure to "pass on" the gavel to the new R.W.M., Bro. Allan Taylor who will, I am sure, do everyrthing in his power to uphold and promote the traditions of this fine old lodge.'
Also present at the ceremony was a very large and distinguished deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lanarkshire Middle Ward headed on this occasion by Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Angus Ross.
Accompanying Bro. Angus was the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Bro. James L. Jack, Bro. Donald Mathieson, Past Depute Provincial Grand Master and Bro. Tom Davidson, Substitute Provincial Grand Master as well as Provincial Office Bearers and members of Provincial Comittee.
